Working within the Yorkshire and Humber Department for International Trade team, the role will involve managing the day to day activities of a team of c 10 advisers. The advisers provide a wide range of specialist help and guidance to businesses of all sizes in the region. The successful candidate will need to clearly demonstrate the following key attributes to be considered for the post:
Strong drive for results and ability to motivate team members
“Can do” attitude and strong leadership skills
Positive attitude to change and capability to sell and implement change requests and projects
Understands the need for, and willing to implement performance management methodology
Solid understanding of the work of the Department for International Trade (www.great.gov.uk)

The role sits within the Department for International Trade’s (www.great.gov.uk) Yorkshire and Humber team
The role primarily covers North & West Yorkshire, but as part of the role responsibilities, it will also cover all other areas of the region and require travel across the whole region
