Experience has shown us that having a dedicated adviser provides students with the best opportunity to get them employment ready. Our service is easily accessible to students, delivered online: on campus, and enables them to learn and develop on the go – we offer an out-of-hours service. Working with our advisers, students are given the support and confidence to identify a career path. We establish exactly what they need to help them achieve their potential and to take control of their future.
Our support is student-centred covering all their employability needs:
We drive and innovate our service to support students and graduates. For example, we are pioneering mock video interviews with our partner universities. This web chat based format, helps students to promote themselves in the best possible way to potential employers, whilst continuing to boost their confidence and experience.
We work collaboratively with you to enhance your existing careers service by supporting those peak times where available resource may be a challenge - our service is designed to complement everything you already have in place.
Working closely with students and graduates we are able to monitor and identify the impact our service is delivering. Every interaction is recorded to track development and outcomes.
We are passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs and provide them with encouragement and confidence to take their ideas from concept to reality. Over the years we have been involved in a number of university events and projects supporting enterprise. A platform for business, students and practicing professionals to come together and collaborate, these events create connections in the business world and prepare them for their future careers.
Our work with universities and colleges drives entrepreneurialism and supports students to realise their ideas; set up their own business or go freelance.
Our expertise in this sector has resulted in our collaborating with the private, public and voluntary sectors to drive economic development within communities across the UK. Over the years we have been responsible for establishing networks that focus on helping those who are long-term unemployed, those on incapacity benefits and individuals in deprived areas to enter or get back into the workplace.
We tailor our services to provide guidance which supports the individuals and their backgrounds, carefully working alongside them building their confidence. Our support includes workshops and 1:1 advice that ultimately enables individuals to either start their own business or secure sustainable employment. Every programme is run with an understanding for individual needs such as child care arrangements or religious beliefs.
These programmes have been delivered with significant success and have helped to break down barriers to employment and entrepreneurship. Our impact through the Building Enterprising Communities project led to reduced unemployment in Bedfordshire and saw a decrease in the number of people claiming out of work benefits.
