About the Role
In this role, you will proactively research, target and engage with key decision-makers at high-potential, fast-growing SMEs, guiding them to explore tailored business growth solutions that will drive their innovation and growth. Your ability to initiate conversations, build relationships, and qualify leads will be key in supporting these businesses to achieve their strategic goals and contribute to the UK’s economic growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and qualifying potentially suitable businesses across the East of England and the Midlands for Innovate UK Business Growth support through desk research, leveraging social media and other client acquisition tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Outbound calling contacting innovative SMEs to introduce the Innovate UK Business Growth service offering and determining prospects’ eligibility and suitability for business support services
- Quickly building trust with SME decision-makers during introductory initial conversations
- Achieving pre-set weekly appointment targets and KPIs
- Developing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date databases of high-potential leads
About you
As an in-house telemarketer, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by proactively engaging with senior decision-makers at innovative, fast-growing SMEs. Your expertise in initiating meaningful conversations, building strong relationships, and qualifying leads will be essential in helping these businesses discover tailored solutions that support their innovation and growth. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our clients and play a vital part in supporting the UK’s economic development. With a proactive mindset and a focus on results, you’ll be a key player in driving strategic business outcomes.
You will also have:
- Experience of investigating and extracting valuable business intelligence from multiple online and offline sources (social media, databases, public records, etc)
In addition, you will be able to:
- Engage and communicate with people at all levels (internally and externally), diplomatically, competently and effectively
- Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills with ability to clarify complex points and summarise situations and facts succinctly
- Quickly build rapport and establish trust with potential clients
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Proficiently use CRM software and other relevant tools
- Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals
