About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Marketing Executive to join our team. In this role, you will lead on the marketing for our West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) export contract, where the new and exciting service will provide cutting edge support to help SMEs in the West Midlands to make improvements to become successful in exporting their goods and services. You will also manage the Marketing Assistant, who will support on the implementation of activity.

You will be joining a growing team of marketers to create a brand and drive lead generation. Working closely with the Marketing Manager, Marketing Assistant and specialists across the business, you will have responsibility to deliver integrated campaigns and create engaging content to drive brand awareness and attract SMEs.

What will I do as Senior Marketing Executive?

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and funders to devise a brand identity for the WMCA contract, including creation of assets and brand guidelines
• Lead the marketing and brand strategy for WMCA, working with the Marketing Assistant, to meet contract and performance objectives
• Implementation and management of external campaigns to support with lead generation
• Management of agency relationships to ensure campaigns are delivered to meet objectives, on time and within budget
• Building relationships both internally and with key marketing contacts across external organisations
• Creation of video case studies and digital content to form part of digital lead generation campaigns
• Driving relevant and engaging content across social media channels
• Using metrics to track, monitor and report on campaign performance
• Ensuring campaigns are delivered within the agreed budget and regularly report on budget updates.
• Leading and managing the Marketing Assistant (WMCA) covering all aspects of people management activities (recruitment and onboarding, performance management and improvement, absence management, learning and development, coaching and mentoring, wellbeing, etc.)

About you

• We are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
• A marketing qualification and experience of working in marketing
• A person with a can do, proactive attitude who is confident in the ownership and management of campaigns
• Ability to create exciting, engaging content for use across online and offline channels
• Experience of and working knowledge of HR processes for managing people and teams
• People management skills, in particular motivating and encouraging others, coaching and mentoring, adaptable communication style, managing conflict, giving feedback, etc)
• Demonstrable experience of using email marketing platforms to implement successful automation campaigns
• Experience in implementation of digital marketing initiatives including SEO and PPC
• High competency of using analytical tools to report on campaign performance
• Creativity, forward thinking, agility, and dynamism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
