Wendy has been supporting businesses to realise their ambitions for over 30 years. Working in close partnership with clients to understand and assess their needs, identifying and helping them overcome barriers to growth.
Prior to Exemplas, she worked in banking, where she was one of the first to undertake a new role to the bank of business development manager with corporate banking. Many years were however spent as a local business manager, managing client relationships, checking financial requirements, reviewing business plans, assessing lending applications and supporting businesses to develop and grow.
Having left banking behind her she became a dedicated business adviser, helping entrepreneurs take those difficult first steps to establish their companies and begin to grow. She later specialised in social enterprises, advising on legal structures, funding, developing trading activities etc. and continues to support organisations looking to grow their social enterprise. Wendy is also a former social return-on-investment practitioner.
Over the years, Wendy’s continued to develop her knowledge and skills across a broad range of business areas, helping clients to achieve their ambitions and attain strong, sustainable growth.
Currently she supports established Hertfordshire SME’s and social enterprises by providing impartial advice, support and resources to help them achieve their goals. In addition, Wendy is also a peer group coach facilitating peer coaching sessions for participants of Help to Grow Management Programme with University of Hertfordshire.
