A new report from Beauhurst states that 53% of the country’s most ambitious companies are under moderate to critical threat from the Coronavirus pandemic. However, only 1% of Fin-Tech businesses are critically affected and just 2% are severely affected. It stands to reason that these companies are doing better because of their digital components, which allows them more flexibility in situations like this, and their financial choices.

Budget 2020: What do SMEs need to know?

With less than a month on the job, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, delivered his first budget on Wednesday 11th March 2020. Sunak began his budget statement by talking about the impact of COVID-19., stating he intended to “keep our country healthy and financially secure”. In summary, a £30bn fiscal stimulus has been set aside to support “British people, British jobs and British businesses” through this ‘temporary’ impact on the UK economy.
